There are dozens of different skincare treatments to consider, but Microneedling has become internationally recognized (and loved) by both men and women of all ages and skin types. Here at Lavish Beauty RN, we’re dedicated to producing stellar results that will stand the test of time. In this video below, Nancy Park demonstrates the PRP Microneedling procedure performed comfortably in the Lavish Beauty RN studio.
PRP Microneedling is also known as “transcutaneous collagen induction therapy”, and it’s one of the most effective (and painless) ways to approach skin treatment. PRP Microneedling involves drawing a small amount of blood from your arm, centrifuging (spinning) the blood to separate out the plasma & platelets from the red blood cells, and then adding the platelet-rich plasma back into your skin through Microneedling
Skin rejuvenation is a process that most of us are going to be interested in at some point in time. PRP Microneedling is a treatment that boosts the levels of collagen in your skin and helps improve upon your skin's texture, and we could all use more of that.
There have been significant advancements in the way PRP Microneedling is performed, as modern technology has allowed us to implement the SkinPen Microneedling process to make this procedure more painless and effective! When you want reliable results and a medical practitioner with your best interests in mind (especially with your microneedling price), Nancy Park, RN, BSN from Lavish Beauty RN is a name you can trust.

Known as the “Vampire” or “Blood Facial” to some, PRP Microneedling can seem like a traumatizing process from far away. Not only is that incorrect, but it’s also one of the simplest (and most beneficial) skin rejuvenation techniques you can go through with! It beings by taking some of your own blood and separating the red blood cells from your PRP (platelet-rich plasma).
It sounds kind of crazy at first, but there’s a reason why so many women all over the world are focusing on their PRP Microneedling treatments. If you want to talk about microneedling benefits, they are quite obvious once you’ve gotten the treatment yourself - your skin will feel smoother, look brighter, and you’ll have that “glow” back that you’ve been missing all these years.
This process will stimulate your collagen and elastin levels, allowing your body to naturally heal itself and create healthier layers of skin as a result. Elastin and collagen should sound familiar, as these are phrases terms that you’ve likely heard associated with fancy skin products at some point. PRP is the next big thing in skin treatment, so why not give something that’s foolproof a chance?
PRP can be combined with your microneedling sessions to maximize your levels of skin rejuvenation - the microneedling benefits often associated with this practice are:

You don’t have to focus on your face when it comes to PRP treatments, as there are several other areas to consider. You may be suffering from the likes of eye bags or even horizontal neck lines, both of which are things that can be treated through PRP microneedling. Some other areas that you can work with would be stretch marks or any acne scars on your body!
It’s a versatile treatment that offers a plethora of benefits for your skin, regardless of where you plan on applying it. We get it, using your own blood to help regenerate youth sounds like something straight out of a fantasy novel; luckily, it’s the real deal.

First, your skin is cleansed and prepared for the PRP Microneedling treatment. A topical numbing cream is applied to accomodate a more comfortable experience.
Your blood is drawn and loaded into a medical-grade centrifuge, which is spun for 10 to 15 minutes. This spinning process separates the red blood cells, white blood cells and plasma. We are left with the platelet-rich plasma to use for the rest of the procedure.
The platelet-rich plasma is then injected back into your skin though microchannels, which are tiny punctures created by the skin needling device. The depths of the punctures vary based on treatment area, skin type, and desired results.
After your PRP microneedling treatment, you may experience slightly red and mildly swollen skin for the first couple of days. For the first two days, gently wash the treatment area with clean filtered water and avoid sun exposure. You will notice improved skin appearance within two to four weeks. Fortunately, there is no downtime with microneedling. You can enjoy your regular routines immediately after treatment.

PRP requires drawing a small 15ml vial of blood, which may feel like a prickling sensation or a pinch. Besides that, patients usually tolerate the microneedling procedure very well. For your comfort, a topical numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area.
For the first few days, as your skin heals from the microneedling treatment, it may appear mildly flaky or dry. Small white bumps may appear in the treated area, or you may see temporary redness similar to a mild sunburn for three or four days.
Microneedling with PRP has a low risk of serious side effects. In rare cases, small scabs or areas of hyperpigmentation can form. Potential complications can include itching, bruising, discomfort, infection, swelling and permanent scarring.
To prepare for your treatment, for two to seven days prior, do not take any medications that may thin your blood, including Advil, aspirin and Excedrin, as well as Vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids and fish oil.
Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of treatment, and eat before your appointment. Do not drink alcohol prior to your appointment. If you develop a fever, rash, blemish or infection in the target treatment area, contact us to postpone your treatment.
Medical doctors and industry professionals generally discourage the use of "at-home" DIY microneedling devices. The needles on consumer devices are too short to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin and achieve effective results. Moreover, there is a risk of infection and other complications by doing it yourself. Professional microneedling treatment with an FDA-cleared device like SkinPen is the safer and more predictable way to get the results you want.
PRP microneedling is not recommended for individuals who:
* Have used Accutane within the previous six months
* Have active skin infections or open wounds
* Are pregnant
* Are prone to keloid scars
* If you have a history of cold sores, microneedling treatment could cause a flare-up.
Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours following your treatment.
Direct sun exposure, tanning beds and sunless tanning products should be avoided for up to five days after treatment. Once the post-treatment redness and flaking have subsided, you can resume sunbathing or sunless tanning. (Keep in mind it is always wise to protect your skin against sun damage by applying sunblock.)
It can take up to 4 weeks to see an improvement in the treated skin. Remember, you must allow time for cellular turnover and your body’s production of collagen (these processes do not occur overnight).
We recommend at least 3-6 treatments to see full, optimal results with PRP Microneedling. For new patients, start with 3 PRP Microneedling treatment sessions 4-6 weeks apart. After that, maintenance treatments every six months.
Taking good care of your body can help you prolong the new glow to your skin. We recommend following a balanced diet, staying well-hydrated and getting plenty of rest. Do not smoke or drink excessive amounts of alcohol. Sun protection is always important, especially in Phoenix, Arizona, so we recommend applying sunblock whenever going outside.
